Job Outlook

       Many base jobs on salary and look past enjoyability. However, in the gaming industry a video game designer earns both. An average video game designer earns around 60,000 dollars or 50 dollars an hour. Average means the designer has a solid background in computer code, an education, and good communication skills. Students right out of college tend to make much less than a designer with three or more years already under their belt. 

       With several new consoles and hundreds of new video games it is safe to say that video games have become a super power in the homes of millions of children worldwide. More than half the nation's boys have a video game console and many video game companies have realized they have found a gold mine. As of now there are approximatively 75,000 Americans working in the game designing industry. As technology slowly evolves so will the gaming industry. In a few years every child will have a console in their household and competition will grow expanding the industry. In a few years the industry will double perhaps triple in value as children continue to crave for more.
